Social Influence - Thought Leader

I stumbled across this site today that measures your social influence - http://klout.com/.  I may have been living under a rock since it appears from there about page they have been around for a few years.

With local Australian news sites running details about Charlie Sheen and his arrival to twitter I stumbled upon Klout via a wiki link to the Charlie Sheen page.

Interesting site given the recent Lotusphere 2011 theme - Get Social, Do Business.

IBM Lotus Notes 8.5.2 FP1 install failed

With the recent release of FP1 for IBM Lotus Notes / Domino 8.5.2 ( link ) I downloaded the various Fix Pack files I wanted and started applying the Fix Pack to different machines.

Domino on Linux and Windows upgraded without issue however I had problems upgrading my standard Notes client (with Admin & Designer).

The dialog shown would indicate the installer was interrupted and that my installation was left unmodified.

Digging through the notesinstallfix.log showed an error copying npnotes.dll.

Checking the 8.5.x forum found the same issue for a few other people ( link ).

Renaming the file as per the suggestion by Hubert Wagner and running the installer again completes without error.

    If you really want to use IBM Lotus Sametime to chat with someone and get an immediate response this isn't IMHO the best way to start.

    Please don't just say Hi.  My next irritation is Hi, how are you?  I'm obviously okay cause I'm logged on and working.

    How about starting with something like this ?

      DominoAllowDuplicateSubforms - SPR CTSI7FKSLK fixed in 8.5.2 release

      I found this "fix" today when a client called 3 days out from upgrading there IBM Lotus Domino 6.5.x servers to IBM Lotus Domino 8.5.1 FP4 with a problem they found testing there custom written applications.

      The server was generating the following error:

      09/01/2010 04:27:50 PM HTTP Web Server: Application Exception - Duplicate Subform found. A given subform cannot be used on the same form more than one time. [/subformtest.nsf/MyForm?OpenForm] Anonymous

      The user would see the following in there browser:

      Error 500
      HTTP Web Server: Application Exception - Duplicate Subform found. A given subform cannot be used on the same form more than one time.

      Not being a developer I had no immediate answer and so a little digging around was required which led me to SPR CTSI7FKSLK. More details are available in the SPR description here - SPR CTSI7FKSLK
